Welcome from the Head Teacher
I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Fairway School and Children’s Centre. Fairway is an establishment where staff and governors are committed to nurturing, inspiring and challenging all of our children. At Fairway, our children are at the heart of all we do. We aim to instil a love of learning in all our pupils, as well as the confidence to take risks and develop ownership of their learning. We celebrate individuality and diversity in school and deliver a curriculum which promotes empathy, tolerance and an understanding of each other.
We aim to provide a lively, creative curriculum to challenge and motivate our pupils and enable them to participate in a range of high-quality learning opportunities. The school’s excellent facilities enhance the quality of the children’s education but our greatest resource is our skilled and dedicated staff, who work tirelessly to provide the best teaching and learning experiences for every child.
As a school, we embrace our pivotal role in the community we serve and acknowledge the importance of contributing to the wider community. The school aims to ensure that our children develop as global citizens, in order that they are able to seize and shape the world they live in. We work closely with parents and families to support them in raising children who are ready to meet the demands of a fast-moving world, whilst treasuring the wonder and magic of childhood, helping them to grow – but not too fast!
As a school, we constantly reflect on and endeavour to improve our practices and policies, ensuring that we keep up to date with new initiatives.
